Was trolling around on the EVE forums when I ran into this post:
clicky
Apparently some new player got 800 million ISK sent to him by a stranger. He petitioned to ensure it wasn’t “dirty” ISK sent from a gold spammer or something on accident so it didn’t get taken away from him after spending it all. (Apparently in EVE they don’t ban you for buying ISK, they just take it away from you. So if you buy 1 billion ISK and spend it all, they’ll put you 1 billion ISK in the red. I can’t imagine trying to work your way out of that hole. It would be a long time to play without even being able to repair your ship or buy new mods. lol. Might as well just reroll.)
So, the question is … If you were a newbie and got a pile of money dumped on you, what would you do? Send it back? Spend it all on blackjack and hookers? Save it? Invest it?
I think I would totally be tempted to go hog wild and spend it on a ton of useless crap. I tend to be “that guy.” lol. I’ll spend a ton of money in games and take reduced stats so long as I look good. On the other hand, in EVE, you can’t really spend a lot of money as a newbie because there’s nothing to really buy. You’re limited on what you can use by what skills you have.
What would you do?
